About the firm

A construction practice built on Louisiana ground — and Louisiana lessons.

Founder Zach Martin has spent the last dozen years designing, planning, and managing residential, commercial, industrial, and government projects across the Gulf Coast. After earning his Bachelor's in Construction Management from LSU, he went on to work for several of the largest names in the industry — building, in his words, for a safer future.

As a Construction Production Task Manager, Zach designed, implemented, and supported HUD CDBG-DR housing programs across Louisiana. He has been a critical resource on more than 4,000 individual properties, performing final QA on contract documents, building working schedules, and reviewing project costs for reasonableness.

As a Certified Floodplain Manager, he works directly with local Floodplain Administrators to mitigate and enforce structure placement and elevation restrictions — so the homes and buildings he delivers are functionally and financially sustainable for the long run.

What we do

Full-service construction management — built around the realities of the Gulf Coast.

Every engagement is led personally by Zach. From a single elevated home to a multi-property recovery program, the same standard applies: rigorous documentation, transparent cost review, and code-correct delivery.

Residential

Custom homes, additions, and elevation projects designed for Louisiana flood zones — with permitting, surveys, and contractor oversight handled in-house.

  • New construction & substantial improvements
  • Home elevation & retrofit
  • Insurance & FEMA compliant rebuilds

Commercial

End-to-end construction management for owners and developers across retail, light industrial, and mixed-use — from feasibility through close-out.

  • Owner's representative services
  • Constructibility & cost review
  • Schedule, RFI, and close-out management

Floodplain & Disaster Recovery

Specialized program work for HUD CDBG-DR housing initiatives. We coordinate directly with local Floodplain Administrators on placement and elevation requirements.

  • FEMA elevation certificates & LOMA support
  • CDBG-DR project execution
  • Floodplain Administrator coordination

Quality Assurance & QA/QC

Independent QA and contract document audits before scopes go to bid — the same final-review process used on thousands of recovery properties.

  • Contract document audit
  • Cost reasonableness review
  • Punch-list & substantial completion sign-off

Why Martin

The kind of contractor you'd want on your own house.

We're not the biggest builder on the coast — by design. Tight scope, sharp documentation, and a personal stake in every site visit.

01

Owner-led, not handed off

Every project is run personally by the founder. You get one phone number, one decision-maker, and one set of eyes on the schedule.

02

Trained where the storms hit

Floodplain elevation isn't a checkbox here — it's the day job. We've coordinated thousands of FEMA-aligned rebuilds across Louisiana parishes.

03

Documents you can defend

Cost reasonableness reviews, contract document audits, and substantial-completion close-outs that hold up under owner, lender, and program scrutiny.

04

Lessons learned, applied

Patterns from 4,000+ recovery properties feed every new bid — so the schedule, scope, and budget you sign off on actually reflects what the site will demand.
